SMILE!

This picture is one of my favorites of us. I love taking pictures, especially with my husband. And can I tell you that I love having a timer on our camera? It makes for an easy, convenient picture opportunity at any time, any place, any where.

Anyways, we recently went to Arizona to visit family. It was a fun trip. I learned to knit, we went hiking and we got to relax. We need more trips like that. I feel like every trip we take, we're rushed to the next place, to see the next person. It takes away from the quality time I would like with each person we're visiting. Ah, but this is the reality of living 1300 miles away from your family. Somedays I wish we all lived closer, most days actually. Somedays I enjoy being alone. I like where I came from, no matter how far away I go. I like the weather, the people, the places, the coffee shops, the Boston Beanery. I guess I like it all, or at least I appreciate it all. I don't think those people who have lived in the same places all their lives will understand. I grew up differently, I was taught differently, I have grown differently...but I will appreciate your familar. Your place of comfort. Your home.

Either way, I like being here. In this big world...in this small city (compared to the world). I like that Patrick and I are here together. I like that we are a family. And I also like that somehow, someway the Lord provided family for us even many miles away from the nearest relative. Praise Him.

Hmmm...I think I know who anonymous is...grin. Well, a great big welcome to my favorite new blogger. This will help me feel so connected to my sistah! I loved sharing the sunshine with you today and hearing my boys ask Jesus to bring out the sun from behind the clouds just for you.
