Do you shop online much? I have found over the last two or three years that I am going to the internet to do my shopping! Not that I don't enjoy walking around Target or the mall -- it's just really hard to do that right now!
I use ebates.com to help get back a little cash. The site is super easy to use and you get cash back just by shopping through their site. Right now, just from Christmas shopping, I'll be getting $35 dollars back! That's a gift I've bought, that's practically free!
Either way, try it out and use this link. It will link back to me and I will get a bonus in my account, so thank you in advance!
I also use swagbucks as my search engine. I get "swagbucks" every couple searches and can save bucks for gift cards. I feed my Starbucks addiction this way :) You can sign up or learn more by going to this site!
Happy shopping, friends!
My thoughts on life, marriage, being a rockstar and a momma, Jesus and whatever else this adventure brings my way...

Free coffee, Earth Day and Good Friday...
This Friday, April 22nd, is Good Friday. I love this.
And it's also Earth Day.
Starbucks is giving you free brewed coffee or tea - if you bring in a mug from home {any kind will do, although may I suggest you bring a travel mug?}. This free coffee day is in honor of Earth Day, not Good Friday...incase you were wondering :)

Say, though, that you stop by and forgot said mug to get free coffee. No worries, their travel mugs will be 20% off to help you out. Pay for that, then get free coffee. Win. Win.
It's a good plan all around, especially since I bet your husband will be home from work {for Good Friday, mind you, not Earth Day} and you can sneak out and go to the YMCA and then go to get free coffee. Another win! I mean, I don't know who would do that though :)
To get more ideas of things you can do to celebrate Earth Day, check out this website!
*And incase you didn't know: Christians celebrate Good Friday because God's love is so great for us that He sent His perfect Son to die on a cross for the sins of the world. Good Friday is good because it's the day that Jesus obeyed, and loved, and sacrificed more than we'll ever, ever be able to comprehend. But friends, it doesn't end there. Good Friday only has part of the good news for us! On Easter Sunday, Jesus rose from the grave! He conquered sin and death. Once, and for all! Now that's something to celebrate! {And not just with free coffee}*

Okay, okay...
I just can't wait until 750 posts. I just need to do a giveaway now. Maybe it's the post Christmas need to buy and bless and be excited to give. Either way, let's not let this moment slip by.
As I have been pondering what to give away, my mind is filled with really cool ideas. Patrick's idea was an all expense paid trip to see me in OKC, but only if you lived in OKC :) That would only work for the two people who read my blog here. Back to the drawing board. What would anyone love? What could I give that the winner would enjoy?
*Then I thought, why not give away something that I would love!* That makes sense, right? It's practical. It can be helpful. It's a great way to start the new year!
So, come followers and readers and stalkers alike! I'm giving away something for everyone! I'm giving away a year subscription to Cooking Light magazine and a copy of Julia's Kitchen Wisdom, by Julia Child. Plus, if there are at least 40 comments, I'll give away another year subscription of Cooking Light! There could be two winners here, friends!!! All you have to do it this: leave a comment and let me know your favorite food. It's that simple!
I'll end the giveaway on Saturday January 1st, 2011 at 11am (CST). That gives you three days to get your comment on my blog. Only one comment per person, please. And don't be shy, blog stalkers. I'll throw all the names into a bowl and pick at random. Once the winner is picked and announced, I'll get your information for shipping purposes.
Thanks for reading my blog and walking through so much with me! Thanks for your thoughts and support and help processing. Thanks for being faithful in reading so that my mom and my husband (though there is nothing wrong with that) are not the only people who read my blog. You are dear to me, blog readers. Whoever you may be :)
Sooooo, let the comments roll in and let's get this party started!
P.S. If you're not into reading Cooking Light, you can still comment and help someone else win a prize (by getting to 40 comments)). Just let me know that you don't want the prize, but still tell me your favorite food.

A good deal!
What better way to celebrate my birthday week than free ice cream and free coffee? I'm not sure. Maybe being able to thoroughly enjoy them. Ah well.
Starbucks is offering "buy one holiday drink, get one free" on November 18-21st, 2-5 pm. What a deal! Grab you love or best friend or your neighbor, for goodness sake, and take advantage of this deal! You can check out the Starbucks website to see this offer and others they have coming up for the holiday season!
And, as I type this post, Cold Stone Creamery is offering free samples of their new eight layer cake. The offer was from 5 to 8 pm tonight, so sorry if you missed this. We took advantage of free ice cream cake and maybe, just maybe, got a cup of ice cream too :) This was particularly good timing because I wanted an ice cream cake for my birthday. I loved being able to sample two cakes. Both were wonderful!
I'll keep you updated on any other fantastic deals! :)

High five, Chipotle!
Over the last few weeks I haven't been able to eat a lot. I mean, I can eat. I just don't usually enjoy what I'm eating. When I was pregnant with Benjamin I craved specific foods and ate a lot of "comfort foods". Plus, I ate a lot. This time around, Beta isn't satisfied with much. I'm constantly nausous and never know what's going to make me...well, you know.
There is one thing I can usually eat, though....Chipotle. I mean, it's good food. Local, sustainable, kind of expensive. Either way, a vegetarian burrito bowl is the way I go. I just love it. It takes me for.ever to finish it, which is good. The meal that keeps on giving!
If you know me well, then you know that I'm not scared to ask for something. I'm always willing to put a question out there and firmly believe that "if you don't ask, then they can't say yes!" Recently, I emailed Chipotle. I let them know that I loved their food and appreciated that they used local food. I also mentioned that I was pregnant and craved their burrito bowls. I asked if there were any coupons they could send to help a sister out.
To my surprise I got an email back pretty quickly saying that they would love to send me some "burrito cards". I sent them my address and on Tuesday I got a package from Chipotle. A package! Want to know what was inside of it?! A card saying congrats on your new baby, a Chipotle onsie and EIGHT free burrito cards! I am not kidding. I was so taken back by their kindness!!!
I will say that things like this can't be taken advantage of, or people will stop being generous. There's a time and a place to ask. If I just loved Chipotle, I would just have to limit the times I eat there or ask for gift cards for my birthday. Since I'm pregnant and eat there twice a week, I thought it was at least worth an ask. I'm so glad I did!
Just wanted to let you know that there are still good people out there and good companies. Thanks, Chipotle for taking care of me and helping satisfy my insane cravings!
