Recently, I've been listening to a lot of KT Tunstall (thanks, Cay!) and I'm really enjoying it. Here are the lyrics to a song that I'm enjoying. I think it expresses my emotions well:

If You want me to...

I was able to have a great time with the Lord this morning. Reading, praying, journaling...it was very nice to sit with Him and vent, cry, laugh and learn. I was heading to a passage this morning, but stumbled upon Jeremiah 31. The words in this chapter were just what the Lord wanted to me read. Through the last 3 months, Jeremiah 31 has offered me comfort, hope and encouragement.

I am constantly amazed by God's pursuit of me. Even when my back is turned and my heart is hard, He pursues me and allures me. I am so thankful for a persistant and loving God. Over the years I have been through a lot of trials. I wouldn't say my life has been easy to any degree. I heard this song by Ginny Owens when I was in Tennessee and it has stuck with me since. It is certainly a song I relate with and could easily claim as a "life song". It's called "If You want me to". I am always refreshed and humbled when I listen to the words. I pray that I would have the courage and the willingness to live these words through all of life's trials.

This is a song by Ginny Owens. I love listening to her music. During each season of my life, I feel like the Lord has used her music to really encourage me. The words the Lord gives her speak clearly about my situations and my heart. This song is called "With Me" and it's how I want to feel right now. This is certainly not the last time you'll see lyrics from Ginny Owens posted on my blog :)
