I like your kissy wallet....

For Jeannie:

This is a story of a girl and her kissy wallet, trying to get some food in Sugar Land, TX. I don't know if this would have ever happened in any other place. God bless Texas. AMEN!

Ahem, one day I was out and about and decided to stop by KFC for a little snack-y! I couldn't help but notice all of the people in this small place. Most of them being hispanic men who had been working all morning...on the road, a house, something. Well, I order my food and proceed to the soda machine just in time to be greeted by one of the working hispanic men. I push my cup to the ice thing and then as I am filling my cup with Dr. Pepper, this man says to me : (please say the following with a thick hispanic accent) "I like yo kissy wallet."
WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!!??? OK, so I look at him with a half smile and nod my head. I may or may not have said thanks. AND I'm pretty sure the look on my face was not that of a grateful woman with lips all over her wallet. I left KFC as fast as I could. For no other reason than to process what happened and to laugh as loud as I could, in the privacy of my little car. I contemplated using a new wallet to make sure such a situation did not happen again, but how could I put away my kissy wallet? And why would I not enjoy this same experience weekly? Oh my soul! Now, everytime I look at my wallet, I can't help but laugh. And for those who are wondering, the situation has not happened again....yet.

Anyways, I tell Jeannie Reid about this story and I am not sure I have ever seen the girl laugh so hard. She will randomly tell me that she "likes my kissy wallet", and I am thinking she really does. :) So Jeannie, get your laugh on....
