Moving day

Saturday was the "big day". Four guys from Patrick's office came over to help, as well as my mom and John and Carol and Frank. It was so wonderful to have so much help! It took us about four hours to get a few loads on the U-haul. Plus, all of the parents took two cars and loaded up a bunch of stuff from the townhouse. It was really nice to be able to stay at the house and get things where they needed to be.

Overall, it was a great day. I had one minor overwhelming point, but worked through it when MY washer and dryer made it into the basement :) Here are some pictures of us moving....

Patrick, Dave and Phil unloading the U-haul

The dining room chaos. If I didn't know where to put something, I would say...put it in the dining room. That made for a crowded eating area!

The couch didn't fit through the front door, so we had to take the window out and bring it in that way. It was actually quite entertaining watching my couch and chair slide through the window. I'm sure the guys were not nearly as pleased :)

Also, the headboard to our bed barely fit upstairs. Our Texas sized furniture was a bit intimidating to this old house, but everything is in here and fits wonderfully!
