A little celebration

This morning I weighed myself, as I do each morning. It motivates me...somehow. I know you know that I work out a lot. I know you know that I love it. I talk about it, it excites me. My intention is not to boast, but to share something that I'm really excited about, something that I'm really proud of.

I started working out in February 2006, that's exactly one and a half years ago this month. Maybe that's not exciting to you. I'll tell you why it's exciting to me: When I looked down at the scale this morning it said "140". That means that this morning, I've lost 30 pounds! Today is a HUGE deal to me! I can't remember the last time I weighed 140 - high school probably. I've got a few more pounds to go to reach my "goal weight" that I set up with my trainer in Texas. I'm happy to keep working on it and I desire to reach this goal. But today I'm that much closer to my goal.

Now I think this is a good reason for me to celebrate myself, motivation, perseverance. I think I'll go to the beach :)

You don't know me, I somehow got to your blog from looking at others, but I just wanted to say, Great Job! I am also trying to lose weight and I know what it's like to workout and constantly watch what you eat. You're doing great!
