Homemade decorations...

As promised, I snapped a few quick pictures of the things I've made or put together to decorate our home. It's my desire to make our home welcoming, homey and beautiful without spending a lot of money. I think I've been able to do that with a little time and creativity. Here are some things that I really enjoy looking at around the house!

My Texas window... I added a few fake sprigs and hung, from twine, a few "green" picture that I took.

This was my dad's bookshelf and I love it!

I made this to go on the bookshelf. I wanted to pull everything together. I took an old frame and cut some fabric in different shapes. I pinned them together and voila!

Here I took a few glass items. An old canister -filled with fabric (in different reds to accent my living room decor) strips, a vase with twine tied neatly in a bow and a smaller canister/jar filled with twine.

My kitchen art hanging happily below my pot rack... This will do for now.
