It wasn't late December back in 1963. It was definitely last week...
Friday night, Patrick and I went to the Cheesecake Factory with our friends Will and Nancy (they just got engaged!). We had been trying to plan this outing for several months and finally, it came together. We had to drive to the Southside of Pittsburgh and when we rounded the turn into the area, I felt like I was visiting Sugar Land. It was a marvelous feeling!
After we parked the car, Nancy and I walked around to a few stores. I was SO excited to see that Ann Taylor Loft, Sur La Table and H&M were all close together. I was so content. There was a little fountain and a band was getting ready to play. Could my night get any better?
Yes! Because I LOVE the Cheesecake Factory. Maybe it's the warm pumpernickel bread, maybe it's the tropical iced tea, maybe it's the incredible salad I had. I'm not sure, but all of these things added to the sweetness of the evening. We were sitting at our table, which happened to be on the patio, and all of the sudden the music starts and we're listening to a local jazz-y band play. It was so great. Nancy and I even broke into song together when they sang "Sweet Caroline". Good times.
Our night was ending, but not without dessert. I ordered what I think is my favorite cheesecake and the most wonderful treat. It's called Tiramisu cheesecake! It was incredible and I don't even think incredible could describe the goodness of this dessert.
I was so thrilled that our evening was so perfect! It was a great time and we loved hanging out with Will and Nancy. I do hope we can double date again. Better yet, we could double date to the Cheesecake Factory again!

the cheesecake factory is one of my favorites, too! and i've never been close to one until i moved to louisville. if only the entree portions weren't so big--that's my only complaint. i'll have to try the tiramisu cheesecake next time....
I was justing thinking about the Cheescake Factory and how I wished there was one in Morgantown! I love the food! Glad you had a great time... :-)

Monty and I went to the Cheesecake Factory on Friday night too with three of my brothers and we also had the Tiramasu cheesecake...funny huh?! that was the first time we'd been there since Sugar Land. Oh, and I had a dream about you the other night, we were just sittin and chatting...miss those days. Love ya!
