We had a relaxing day on Sunday. Slept in a little, ate breakfast, played Wii. Aaron and Patrick decided to enjoy more of the outdoors by walking around and carrying guns, incase they saw any grouse (?).
They came back to the house with the bird in hand. Patrick shot his first grouse and was pretty excited. The little boys were just as enthralled with the bird and wanted to touch it and play with it's feathers. Aaron showed Patrick how to clean the bird and then Granny cooked it up for lunch. It didn't taste too bad, a little chewy, but as most things it tasted like chicken.
Before we left for the airport, we managed to get some pictures with the four of us. Jeannie and I realized that we had tons of Aaron and Patrick and then of her and I, but not all four of us! Granny kindly took several pictures.
Jeannie and Greg took us to the airport. However, we couldn't skip by the Mall of America when it was so close. So we stopped in the mall for dinner. It was cool to see the huge-ness of this place! There was a ferris wheel and a rollercoaster in the middle of the mall. I would love to go back someday and enjoy the plethora of stores I walked by.
Saying goodbye was so sad and it's always hard to leave these wonderful friends of ours. Ah, we are refreshed by their friendship... did I mention that? :) Here's hoping to more than twice a year visits!
