I was definitely surprised!

Last night, Patrick and I went to the home of our friends Scott and Liz for game night. I thought that it was quite convenient that we were going over on a Thursday because I was certain that they would let me watch The Office. WELL last night was not game night - it was a SURPRISE PARTY FOR ME! I had no clue and it was so sweet of Patrick to plan this party for me!

Patrick was very slick and everyone kept the secret very well. Just to make sure I didn't see anyones car parked along the road, Patrick pretended to drop his phone when we turned onto the road Scott and Liz live on. I was looking all over the place for the phone. His plan worked very well :)

All my friends from Indiana were there. I walked in the door and was confused as to why my friend Liz was sitting on a kitchen chair in the living room. Then I saw my friends Nancy and Will and thought, "Hum...that's weird." Then they yelled "Surprise!" I'm still surprised!

As soon as the surprise part was over, Noah (S&L's almost 2 year old) walked up to me and said, "canny?" Turns out they told him that he could have candy if he sat still with them until I came in. Too funny! Everyone was so sweet! We had cake and ice cream. People even got me presents! I felt so special and so loved! We played Apples to Apples for a while and then everyone went home. It was so much fun!

I am so grateful for a husband who cares about me and wants to celebrate me. I am also grateful for friends, who I've only know for eight months (some even less!), who want to make me feel special and shower me with love. I am truly a blessed girl.
