Memory making at the farm...

Patrick and Frank bought new four wheelers last weekend. They vetoed the bright pink one I requested and went for a more "neutral" look with... camouflage (of course!). Patrick was giddy just telling me about these new toys!

Before the fire, we just had one four wheeler and it was used quite a bit, as walking around 400 acres takes quite some time, and were essentials in starting over. Now, there are two (camouflaged) four wheelers. One for Frank, One for Patrick (NONE for Carol or Ashley, mind you. I'm guessing we have to share with the boys...) :)

So, as it was Patrick's hearts desire, I went to the farm with him last week to ride around on the four wheeler with him. He was very adventurous and had no hesitations about going down steep hills or in untouched terrain. But, without a doubt, this farm is indescribably beautiful. I see new things every time I'm there (almost) and it amazes me yet! Perhaps it was the sunset that drew me in, or maybe the leaves falling as we flew by the trees. It could have been the graceful deer leaping through the fields, or the always green pine trees that smell so sweet to me. Either way, it was a gorgeous evening.

I had so much fun with my arms wrapped tightly around Patrick, the cool, crisp air blowing in my face, riding as fast as we could around the farm. I really love making memories, you know, the really, really good ones...the ones that last a lifetime.
