My friend, Adam Swiger, is a youth pastor in PA. He's a good guy and I always had fun talking with him. We don't talk very often, but every once and a while, I'll check his myspace, facebook, whatever. Last Sunday, he preached at the church he works at and he posted his sermon. Check it out.
He talks on discipline. How we should learn to embrace it and consider it a blessing. So many things that he talked about really hit home for me. As I'm struggling to be content with my current trial and as I desire deeply to grow in godliness through this trial, I've found much comfort and joy in God's promises.
In this sermon, the Lord used Adam to touch my heart and encourage, convict and bless me as I seek to find clarity and guidance in God's word. I'm always surprised at how the Lord chooses to teach me each day. I'm grateful for His willingness to do so.
