Day trip...

Last weekend was my baby sister's 25th birthday. She's getting so old! My mom had dinner for her on Saturday night, so I drove down to Morgantown for the day. I really do love the place where I grew up.

I met my dear friends Katie and Amanda for lunch at Panera. We had so much fun and talked away two hours before Kate had to leave. Amanda and I decided that we should still hang out, so we got some dessert treats and went back to her new house. I really enjoy hanging out with Amanda AND if you think about it, pray for her as she leaves for Africa in a week to work at an orphanage for three weeks!

I picked up my sister and we headed over to my mom's house. For her birthday, I took some picture from our Europe trip and put them in a frame for her. She LOVES Egyptian things, so when we were at the British Museum (one of the largest collections of Egyptian artifacts) I was mindful to take several pictures for her.

We had a great time eating and celebrating my sister. I love how much we can all laugh together and enjoy being together. I wanted to get some pictures of my gramma, my mom, my sister and I. It was somewhat successful as my gramma sincerely hates to have her picture taken. So we had to coax her to smile. Honestly, I think she just makes a fuss because she can and really likes that everyone wants her in pictures :)

Families are so special and no matter what you've been through or will go through you are still bonded deeper than any other relationship (okay, minus spouses...). We may not always get along and we've definitely had our downs, but I love my sister and I love being able to celebrate her for who she is.
(This is a picture of my sister and I with our new glasses on. Also, Tiger -my mom's very needy cat- felt the need to not only be in the picture, but turn her back to the camera since she is so .... prissy.)
