Friday night we had dinner with some new friends. They are a young couple with a little boy just a month older than Benjamin. We met them at our "lamaze" class, but never go to know them. Turns out they live just two blocks away! It was nice hanging out and talking with someone who knows exactly what we're going through - we're all first time parents.
Saturday was pretty low key. We watched our friends' kids for a while so they could go on a date (we switch every week... it's a good deal!). We decided to walk to the park. It was a lot of fun! Benjamin tried the swing for the first time and Noah and Micah enjoyed being outside.
Micah will eat anything. Any.thing. He had several things in his mouth as I was taking pictures.
Noah. I got him to smile because I told him that the pictures were for his mom. I didn't lie. I'll give her a CD of the pics.
Baby feet.
Merry-go-round. Think this guy is little? Think again. He was pushing Patrick on the merry go round!
Benjamin enjoyed the swing, but not as much as he enjoys sucking on his hands and bib. Whatever. It was a good first experience :)
I went for a nice long run on Sunday. My first race is July 3rd, unless I can find a last minute 5k in June. My weekends are booked though. Benjamin and I walked to the grocery store and then my mom and gramma came to visit for a few hours. It was so nice seeing and spending time with them. Patrick and I left for about an hour while my mom (and gramma) watched Benjamin. It was nice to have some time with Patrick, just the two of us.
Generational pic: My gramma, my mom, Benjamin (who was hungry), me.
Today has been nice. I got to sleep a little longer (Benjamin has slept 8 hours the last two nights) because Patrick let me go back to sleep after the baby woke up. Plus, he made us french toast. What a guy :) We had our good friend's Al and James over for an early dinner. The evening was calm and quite. It was a relaxing day with good company and a great way to end the weekend.
Talking, hanging out, enjoying the weather...
Family pic.
Yea. I like weekends like this.
