Happy Father's Day!

My husband, he is incredible. I knew from the first time I saw him that I would love him forever. I love that every year, every experience, every laugh and every tear make me love him more. I was never prepared for the amount of love, respect and joy that I would gain toward him after having a child. Wow. Knowing Benjamin is part of us. Us together, in a miraculous way. Bringing us even closer to being one. Our baby is who he is because of Patrick and me - as individuals, as one. How beautiful to fall more in love with someone because of a baby! How gracious the Lord is for this magnificent gift!

I have loved watching Patrick hang out with, care for and enjoy Benjamin. We've each had our fair share of "oh-my-gosh-I-don't-know-if-I-can-take-this-much-longer" moments with the little one. But the good far out weight the bad and we've each had a lot of really, really wonderful moments with our baby!

Patrick is such a great dad! So Benjamin and I wanted to celebrate him and let him know that he is honored and cherished in our sight and in our hearts! Here is a run down of our day....

Grill masters...
We invited our friend, Steve, over for dinner too. We had filets, a rib-eye steak,(the meat was from a local butcher...yum!) salad from the garden, and grilled squash, snap peas and peppers. Plus, brownies with strawberries and whip cream!
Also, the cuteness that makes my wonderful husband a daddy!
