Parades and Pumpkins!

This weekend is IUP's homecoming. We decided to walk up town and watch the homecoming parade. It was fun and Benjamin loved the marching bands. His eyes lit up and he was pretty excited about the loud music and drums. Piper, on the other hand, had several panic attacks every time a siren would roar or a drum was hit. Poor dog.

When we got home we jumped in the car (not literally, figuratively) and headed out to Reeger's Farm. Today was their annual pumpkin festival and we had to participate! I have an adorable (almost) 7 month old. Of course we had to go! :)

We ate lunch there and sipped hot chocolate. Our good friends, Al and James were there too! It was the perfect day - chilly, mostly sunny and windy. We took a hay ride to the pumpkin patch where I was hoping to get incredible pictures. Benjamin wasn't looking in too many of them, but they turned out pretty well. Who knew that dirt, grass, hay and pumpkins were so interesting? He loved all of the above and tried to eat them as often as possible :)

So, here are cute pictures of my babe to celebrate the season!

Snug and warm, waiting for the parade to start...
All my boys...

Patrick and I...Watching the parade with momma...
Oh boy, as soon as we sat him down his face was full of joy! Hay is fun!!!
Taking a break to consider his surroundings...
Back to exploring...
Rescued by daddy before he consumed too much hay...
On the hay ride with momma! I promise he was happier than he looks :)
A pumpkin to lean on and dirt to grab...
He has grass in one hand that would frequently make it to his mouth as he squealed at the pumpkin...
Finally! He is looking at me!

If only I could have shared all of them with you! Enjoy the beauty of fall, my friends!
