And they call the thing Rodeo

YEEEEE-HAAWWWWW!!!
Patrick and I went to the rodeo last night. It was so much fun! We walked around, looked at animals, watched a someone make a rope, tried on cowboy boots, ate BBQ and a funnel cake, then went to enjoy the Houston Rodeo. Of all the things we do here in Houston, the Rodeo has to be one of my favorites. I feel so out of place, yet so right where I belong. The boots, the hats, the jeans...I should have been a cowgirl.

We watched the rodeo events unfold. Ah, the glory of a cowboy and his attempt to ride a bucking horse for 8 seconds or a calf running like crazy from a cowboy with a rope. I have changed a lot since last years rodeo, where I asked several times, "Is this ok? Does this hurt the animal? Is that thing dead?" This year, I knew what was going on. I think I have advanced to intermediate rodeo watcher because I could have answered questions that I very likely would have asked last year. :)

Our evening at the rodeo ended with Alan Jackson performing a few of his 40 number one songs. A good time had by all. I really do love the rodeo.
