I like our weekends...

Ah, another relaxing weekend in Cayon Lake, TX. I would like to move there. I think it would save on gas considering how often (twice) we've been there.

So, we left Thursday night and drove to the resort we were staying at. Monty and Jessica invited us to go up with them, so that is why we went in the first place. We were mighty thankful for the invite! It was so much fun hanging out with the King's and relaxing. We sat by the pool, played tennis (kinda) and floated down the Guadelupe River(see picture) in a tube.

The tubes we floated in came with or without bottoms. We asked for them without, but they ran out so we got the ones with bottoms. I am certain that this was divine intervention. It was rather relaxing, floating for 2 hours. There were small "rapids" that provided much laughter and some slight anxiety, but we made it through each one safely. Jessica kept getting stuck on rocks. Oh, it was so funny. But I'm sure it was not so funny for her. :) Also, side note : We did not take very many pictures, but the King's did and when they share the pics with us, I'll post some of those!

I got very sunburnt and now I am very sore. Patrick told me that I look like a strawberry that was wearing a bathing suit. Oh goodness. It was worth it though for all the fun we had. I felt like I was able to have a pretty good attitude throughout the weekend, which can be a struggle for me sometimes. It was so nice going with the flow and having fun with whatever we did!

But life is back to normal and we are home. Our Easter was fun. We had lunch with our friends David and Erin Wallace. They are great people who are newly married too. We had a great meal, awesome conversation and we were really able to get to know one another better. I enjoy days like that.

So, today is ending with not much to talk about. Tomorrow I am going to cook snap green beans and can them. I'm pretty excited about this endeavor since I LOVE canned green beans from the garden. Next year, I think I should plant my very own green beans instead of buying them from Kroger. Ah well, I'll have to remember this.
