It's lovely weather...

Today was simply gorgeous outside! The temperature was just right, there was a slight breeze and it was sunny. So on our way to church this morning, Patrick proposed the idea of having a picnic lunch on the farm. Well, of course we should do that!

We got home, changed into our outside clothes, stopped by Sheetz for some sandwiches and headed out to the farm. (Quick note of funniness: When we were changing into "outside clothes", Patrick said, "Ash, where are your work jeans?" And I sternly looked at him and said, "Do I look like the kind of girl who has work jeans?!" He laughed and suggested I find an old pair that I wasn't too fond of) We got to the farm and said our hellos to Frank and Carol, who are staying out there in their RV, and jumped on the four wheeler.

Patrick has a favorite spot, so we headed that way to a somewhat cleared area where we could lay down a tarp and some blankets. It wasn't long after we arrived at the perfect spot that we heard something running up the hill and there was Piper, then Cody, then Sadie, then Abby all wanting to picnic with us. Dogs can be so cute and so annoying. Patrick drove back to the RV and put the dogs away so they couldn't find us again!

Patrick and I enjoyed our picnic lunch together, surrounded by evergreen trees so tall and so big that I couldn't help but feel safe and sound. It was so beautiful. The sun was shining on us and it was certainly the most fun we've had in a long time! We will definitely have to make a habit of that!

After we finished lunch, we packed up and headed back to drop everything off at our car. We then rode around on the four wheeler for a few hours plotting points on the map and putting them into a GPS system so we could have pretty accurate recording of our property lines. I saw some areas of the farm today that I didn't know existed and they were stunning! I can't believe we own all of this land!

After popping around on the back of the four wheeler for quite some time, Patrick let me drive! It was so fun. I must say, I'm a natural four wheeler! I drove us into a large mud puddle (upon the direction of my husband, thankyouverymuch!) and was a champ getting us out of there! Needless to say, we have a very fun, very productive and very sunburnt day! I'm so glad spring is finally here and that we have a farm to enjoy it on!

Anyone wanna go four wheeling?!
