Before and After's

Here are the long awaited before and after pictures. I will show you a picture of the house from the previous owners and then a picture of after we've moved in. If you want to see a bigger picture, click on the photo.

The Living room: We didn't change the wall colors to save time and money. Plus, they weren't too bad with our furniture. To save room, we put the TV on top of the fireplace. I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

The Master Bedroom: Patrick didn't want to sleep in this pinkish mauve room and quite honestly, neither did I. I am so thrilled with the colors I picked out for this room. The top is Off White and the bottom is Toasted Almond. I was going for a clean, crisp look with the paint and I'm glad to say I got it. (Sorry for the bad pic of the new room.)

The Guest Bedroom: This was previously a 10 year old boys room. They let him pick out the color. Yikes. This teal green was a little too much for us (and probably our guests). I choose a red, Canyon Stone, with a whitish color for the bead board, Horseradish. I love the way the colors mesh. We also used the Toasted Almond for the trim and I am really pleased with how that came out.

The Office: Great show, bad color scheme. This family loved to sponge their walls! To save on money, I used left over paint (that they left here) from the living room. The color on the top in the office is the color on the bottom in the living room. Again we used the Horseradish for the bead board and the Toasted Almost for the trim. I like it this way much better.

This is a wreath I made for our front door. I got all of the supplies from Jo-Ann Fabrics (minus the little things that I had) for under $4.00. What a deal! Plus, it matches our front door :)

Disclaimer: All of the paint colors purchased for this home were bought at Lowe's. Also, I think I would SERIOUSLY enjoy interior design.

Ashley,

I think we are more alike than we realize. I saw in one of your photos that you read Real Simple--I just subscribed; I love their magazine! We both have signed mats around our [respective] wedding pictures. And I also love interior design. :)

Hope this finds you well!
