A thought on triathlons...

As my triathlon gets closer, my stomach turns a little more and my mind freaks out more quickly. I tell myself everyday, "You can do this. You will do this. You will not fail." I do realize that I should have rode my bike more, should have trained a little more, should have...could have...la la la. The fact is I didn't. Another fact: I am motivated. I trained what I could.

I found this quote today that really gave me inspiration, maybe even motivation.

“The highest reward for a person’s toil is not what they get for it but what they become by it.” *John Ruskin

I will become a triathlete. I will become a better me. I will become healthier, more motivated. I will have something to look at with pride, knowing that I accomplished something that was beyond anything I could even imagine myself doing. I believe I've already become something better just by making my goal.

I'm riding the bike course tomorrow morning. Pray for me :)
