13 weeks

Here is a little baby bump update. Today I am 13 weeks and 2 days. Also, and thing I am most excited about, I am done with the progesterone pills! Woo hoo! Some say that I am now in my second trimester, while other say it doesn't start until I'm 14 weeks. I would like to believe I'm done with the first trimester of hardness.

My good days are becoming more frequent and my bad days less. However, there are good days interrupted by nausea. Hopefully that will be gone very soon. I'm amazed at how many hard things are happening in this pregnancy. I'm jealous of women who have easy pregnancies and love being pregnant. Between nausea, tiredness and body aches, I now get headaches and don't sleep very well at night.

The hardest thing, though, is the bleeding. It's so scary and causes me to worry, but ultimately brings me to my knees as I cry out to God. I have to remind myself that God is in control and does not want me to worry, but to seek and trust Him. I tell myself constantly that God is sovereign and my doctor said the baby and I are fine.

I tried on my size 6 jeans the other day and they fit, but it was hard to button them. As of today, I've gained 9 pounds and I'm currently the size I was last summer. This is nice because I can wear my shorts and jeans from last summer very comfortably.

Here are the pictures from week 13:

This is my fake smile. You can tell I love this process. I'm just never sure how to stand at this point.
A real smile, just for you. Also, please keep in mind that there is a shadow down the back of me. I know my bottom is big, but not that big :)

Girl I am with you pregnancy is not fun! I too have been sick, get migraines and don't sleep well so I can empathize with you. I hope it gets better for you. I am now 20 weeks and it's a little better although I have gestastional diabetes so that in itself is not fun. Hang in there!!

Too funny! I'm glad the good days out number the bad. Love you!

I don't know if one trimester is harder than another as they claim. Each one has its challenges - I mean, how can an ever expanding waistline, a growing baby who learns to kick, and super increased appetite be 'easy'?! Enjoy! You are doing great (and looking great!)
