Yellow Creek kind of day

Today, Patrick and I didn't have much to do. We talked about doing this or that, but nothing ever came out of it. We did order some baby furniture because the stuff we wanted was on sale, so that was fun.

After a while, Patrick asked if I wanted to go hiking. There is a great state park about 15 minutes away. I was so excited to go and ever more excited that he offered! We headed out and made our way to Yellow Creek State Park. It's so beautiful there and just another reason why I really love PA.

We started on a trail and I got so discouraged because I had such little endurance compared to a few months ago. I was cautious to watch my heart rate and made sure that I took breaks when I was getting too tired. I was careful not to complain or fuss because I wanted to enjoy the time with Patrick and not ruin it because of a silly mood swing :)

I love hiking and we had a lot of fun. We did take a wrong turn at one point and walked a mile out of our way. Our total mileage was 3.5 (ish) and there was one point where we were both concerned we were not anywhere near our car. Our legs were a little shaky (which makes it hard to squat against a tree and pee...so you know) and we were getting tired. Piper was even getting tired and was so excited to find the (huge) lake so he could run and drink and cool off.

Either way, it was so much fun. I love days like this with Patrick!
