Oh boy. I have a confession. I have a recent, deep affection and craving for diet soda. It will kill me I know. It will cause some kind of sickness or whatever. I really enjoy Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, or Diet Pepsi. If there is cherry flavor in it, even better. Why do I love these fizzy drinks? I'm not sure, but I want one every day. AND just for the record I don't get one every day.
Confession, again. Cleaning my kitchen brings me such pleasure and satisfaction that when I came downstairs with the fussy one (aka Benjamin) this morning (at 5:30am), I sat him in the bouncy chair, ate cereal and cleaned the kitchen. I'm talking did the dishes, loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the counter tops, swept the floor. Joy!
Another confession. On hard days (like today, for instance) I eat terribly. Sure I had my fruits and veggies, but they did not exceed the gross food I ate.
Final confession. Out of desperation I drove around town for 45 minutes until Benjamin fell asleep (because he woke up every 2 hours last night). I was so hungry and didn't want to go back home and risk the waking of the fussy one. So. I. went. to. McDonald's. (see above confession) I did. I ate a chicken sandwich in my car while driving around Indiana for another 45 minutes to ensure that the fussy one rested well enough to not be the fussy one any longer. Oh boy. I'm sure I wasted a lot of gas. I did however get some good prayer time in and listened to K-LOVE.
I feel better now. Oh. I did drink a diet coke today and it made me feel gross. Not as gross as the McDonald's made me feel, but still. I gave into the craving. Maybe I should chew more Extra gum. It works for people on the Biggest Loser. (side note: I'm pretty ticked off that Filipe went home on BL. I don't like the brown team any more. period.)

A DC made you feel gross?? I have one every day. Yes, yes, they're going to kill me... one diet soda a day? I doubt it. And if so... well... I'll go be with Jesus a little sooner. ;)
I was so sad about Filipe! Everyone I want to win has gotten kicked off (I love Sione and Christin too). I am over the brown team as well...don't know who I want to win.
Okay, I can see feeling some guilt about McDonald's, but let up on yourself about Diet Dr. Pepper! It's good stuff! And you know, if your kitchen gets so clean that you run out of things to do at 5:30, I'm only 5 minutes away...
I have many similar stories that involve desperate driving to nap a baby!! And let's just say the Sonic drive in lady (miss toya) knows all of us BY NAME, and the kids know her. ;) In fact they are confused if we go to another drive thru and the window lady does not wave or call them by name.
