Al's bridal shower...

My dear friend, Al, is getting married in two weeks. I mentioned this a few posts ago. Last Sunday we celebrated her upcoming marriage party with some friends. It was a lot of fun encouraging her, praying over her and showering her with gifts.

Because I love Al and she hates cake, I made tiramisu for the shower (um. It also helps that it's my FAVORITE dessert). She came over to hang out and we decided that we should just go ahead and make it. I couldn't decide on a recipe, so I mixed a few and the results were pretty tasty. I didn't have any rum, but it was only slightly noticeable.

Here we are getting ready to taste ladyfingers, which are not so good on their own. They taste much better with espresso all over them.

It's been just a joy watching Al grow and learn in her relationship with James. I've loved talking about engagement, marriage and weddings with her. I'm so thankful for my friend and can't wait to journey with her through this next stage of her life. She has most certainly traveled many roads with me! I look forward to seeing what we'll get into next :)

Loving the mixing bowls. So glad she lives near by :)
