We stayed pretty low key on our trip. The guys spent a lot of time on the lake - sailing, fishing, surfing. Jeannie and I caught a late movie one night. We saw "The Time Travelers Wife" and it was good. We also listened to sappy love songs on the way home. Perfect! We had such a great time with our friends! Leaving them only makes me want to move to MN.
Benjamin had several "firsts" on this little trip. His first plane ride, which was great. He did really well (the trip home, however, was completely opposite!). His first boat ride, which he slept through and missed Patrick surfing. His first time in a church nursery, which I was so glad about. And most exciting, his first bite of a cookie! Jonathan (who is 4) thought Benjamin might want a bite while we were eating lunch at Subway, so he just broke off a piece and put it in his mouth. Aaron quickly alerted us and Patrick dug it out. Benjamin just wasn't as pleased as I would have hoped for his first taste of cookie goodness! He did smack his lips a bit afterwards :)
Oh, we're so glad we got to spend four days with our dear friends! Now, when is our next get together?!?!!?
