Five years ago, today, Patrick and I got married. I couldn't have possibly imagined then how much I would love my husband now. Honestly, sometimes I have a hard time believing it's been five years. Other times, I can't believe it's not been 20 :) I told a friend yesterday, It feel like five in a good way.
Patrick knows me better than anyone else on this planet. He has seen my best and my absolute worst. Over the last five years we've seen a lot, done a lot, cried a lot and laughed a lot. How blessed are we?! We have built a marriage. We have built a family, a foundation and a future. We have reconciled the past and worked through deep issues. We have jourenyed together and been adventure partners. I love that.
I'm so thankful for Patrick. I'm forever grateful that the Lord brought us together and knew how perfect we would fit together. We are night and day on so many things, but in the "big" things we agree heartily. That's good, from my perspective, because in marriage the big things keep you grounded. But the small things, well they keep it fun and different and mostly, they keep you humble :)
Happy Anniversary, Patrick. You are my favorite thing, ever. What a blessing it is to be your wife. It's been a joy growing with you, serving you, falling more in love with you and following you over the last five years!!!
