Elise - three months!

It's amazing to think that it's been three months since we were at the hospital snuggling this tiny girl for the first time.  It feels like she's always been around.  And we barely skipped a beat when she arrived.

I weighed and measured Elise yesterday {her three month day} and she was 26 inches long (99%) and 15.4 pounds (89%).  That's gigantic! But when I compared her stats with the boys -- they were all about the same.  Crazy! I guess we make huge babes.

She is a sweetie, for sure.  She smiles often and cries only when she's hungry or tired.  She goes to bed around 9pm and sleeps until 5am {which is very early for her}, sometimes 6 or 7 {most typical}.  It's delightful and such a blessing! We on demand nurse, so I don't know exactly how often she eats -- but maybe it's around 8 or 9 times a day?  She's much more efficient now, but never refuses a chance to eat! Elise does not take a paci, but does like holding onto blankets already. She also hates tummy time.  This is so surprising to me because Benjamin and Andrew both loved it!

She loves to watch her brothers and ceiling fans.  She likes to be held and enjoys watching life from the bouncy seat.  She does not like the carseat! She talks and babbles and smiles and laughs.  She likes daddy for a little bit, but likes me all the time.  She likes to kick and is starting to grab at things. Watching babies grow never, ever ceases to amaze me!

Elise is certainly a little treasure to our family! The boys give her NO personal space and she is loved well around here.  She always smiles when you give her kisses :) The Lord has been so kind to us through Elise -- she is a constant source of joy to us!

Little sleepy head...

A fuller face shot for good measure :)

she is breath taking Ashley! truly, and who better to have such a gift than a woman with such a heart of gratitude. you are quite the example to us all!
I was just going through some scrapbooks and one picture from your wedding-- I was writing to Ben and said I'd never seen a couple with eyes that spoke your love more than you two. It's pretty cool to see that after almost 10 years and 3 kids--that hasn't changed!
