I love hanging out with my husband. This may or may not be a known fact, but I do. Once a week we try to have a date night where we go out and do something together. Sometimes we eat out, go to a movie or just sit and talk in a coffee shop. These times are so special for both of us. We get to know one another more and really talk about things.

Usually Patrick is the one planning the date night, but this week it was my turn. I planned a picnic in Oyster Creek Park. (which is very close to our home) The park is gorgeous and the day turned out to be just the same. I prepared a bag with a book we read together and a blanket to sit on. I threw a few water bottles in a cooler and put them in the car. When Patrick got home from work we headed to Chick-fil-a for dinner to go, (Jeannie, I miss eating here with you ::grin:: ) then headed to the park. We sat there for an hour or so eating, talking and watching the clouds float by. We also took a few pictures. As you can see, I've posted several here. (Can you see the bottle of water that Patrick is getting ready to toss on me?!)
After the park, we drove to Marble Slab and got a banana split to share. Patrick really likes banana splits. It was so fun. I love being able to spend 2 hours of uninterrupted time with this man who means so much to me! I love being able to laugh at and with Patrick. He is so wonderful and all mine :)

I hope we don't stop having date nights. They are so important to us and I'm sure someday they will be the only time we'll have alone with one another. And even though right now we have a lot of alone time together, it's nice to share a date once a week. We are blessed beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
