...and not a human milk machine.
Today is the first day without Patrick and let me tell you, friends, I was so thankful for 11:30 to roll around. Benjamin didn't sleep well again last night and I'm trying to figure out how to work this issue out. So many suggestions, so much to read, so little time to really figure it out. I pray a lot. I cry a lot. I trust that getting through today will serve me a much better perspective than trying to look ahead to next week. I've made it 10 days, I'm confident - by God's grace - I can make it 10 more and then 10 more.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I need them, I feel them and I'm so grateful for them! On a positive note, I had high ambitions of walking to Rite Aid today. I didn't make it to Rite Aid, BUT I did make it around the block! It was nice to get out. Also, I took an hour and 15 minute nap today. What refreshment a little nap can bring.
Here are some incredibly cute pictures of our little man from yesterday... oh my soul, I could eat him up! I love kissing his little cheeks and snuggling him!
A little yawning action...
Benjamin and Piper getting to know one another. Piper is much more interesting in getting to know Benjamin, as you can tell.
His little man cow outfit...
Family pic. Patrick's Uncle John and Aunt Eileen stopped by to visit yesterday and wanted a picture of all three of us. Great idea! So we got one with our camera too...

Precious! Piper is checking him out like ... I smell milk, where is it???
Thinking of you constantly!
Love you!
Praise God for blogs! You are still wonderful Ashley, a very real person, whose time may temporarily be 99% taken up by a little person named Benjamin, but blogging is a great way to spend the other 1%! [Zach just said "poor Patrick." Then he said perhaps you're one of those people who gives 110%. :)]
Love the picture of Piper and Benjamin--the expression on Benjamin's face is priceless!
Hey Ash! Sorry I'm just now chiming in...I've been reading and keeping up, but I've not been the best commenter as of late. Anyways....CONGRATULATIONS! He is so beautiful! What a cutie! I am so happy for the two of you.
Glad you got a little rest today.
Blessings~
I cried like a baby (no pun intended) the week T went back to work after our first was born!! Take things one day at a time, give yourself lots of grace.
I'm with Christine -- totally not ready for Aaron to go back to work. I called him a lot :) And I called my Mom a lot....I was pretty much on the phone constantly now that I think about it....
what a beautiful family! And Ashley, you look great.
